Put Yourself In The Picture

The internet and technological advances have enabled people to buy great cameras for reasonable prices that are easy to use. Now the average punter can do most of the things themselves that photographers used to do for them like produce printed or framed photos, albums and coffee table books and even products like mugs, coasters and canvases, all from the comfort of their device and delivered straight to their door. But there will always something missing. Have you finally realised you just can’t be in two places at once?

Do you have a thousand photos of your kids but they either have you OR your partner in them because someone had to take the photo? Are all your holiday photos taken by a passing tourist with the camera set on Shakycam? Or are all your family photos the dreaded selfies, with so many people crammed so tightly into the photo that it could have been taken either in the markets at Singapore or in the dumpster out the back of the Spotlight Party Department? Have you finally realised why your five thousand dollar European oven burns every single thing you cook in it? Here’s a clue: it isn’t the oven.

I’d love to take your family photos for you, not only so you are in them but so they look fantastic and professional, and so do you and the rest of your family. I’ll set up a formal photo session or simply accompany you on a day out or a family day trip to ensure you get photos of EVERYONE having a good time, even you. I’ll provide your photos either as shot or with enough editing to make them look amazing, and refer you to some great sites for do-it-yourself prints and products, the ones I use for my own photos so you know they are reputable. Then it is up to you! I know that you can go away and do the rest yourself. You have the technology! Your friends will look at the photos of your big day out and say ‘ah mah gerd – they look just loike professional pics!’ And you can smile knowingly, because they are!

What is it worth to you to have unforgettable memories of your whole family together, photos you can show your kids a decade from now that actually have everyone in them? More than the cost of a selfie stick I’m guessing. Due to popular demand I am coming out of semi-retirement and will shortly be opening up a limited number of spaces and days for photography on a first-in best-dressed basis (greater Brisbane and Gold Coast areas). These spots can be bought as a complete photo session or on a by-the-hour basis where I will accompany you simply to take candid, informal images of your family together at an event, party, park or any kind of outing. How you then receive your images depends on how much you want to spend, how much editing you want done by me, and how much work you either want to do or are able to do yourself.
